Labthink Permeability Proficiency Service

1. Background and Introduction

Scientific data is usually obtained through measurements. The competency of a laboratory is evaluated by the accuracy of its testing data. For the same test item, distinct test principles or test methods may be used by the test operators. However there is no one uniform standard by which the accuracy of the test results can be evaluated. Some laboratories which own the testing instruments to test OTR and WVTRof the films also face this problem. It has become an obstacle in R&D, quality control and standard drafting for the film manufacturers. By now, most of the laboratories evaluate their test results through inter-laboratory comparisons.

Today the testing technology and testing instruments for barrier properties are developing dramatically. In order to provide a valuable reference value for data accuracy, Labthink will launch its bi-annual permeability proficiency service since 2014. Some experts in packaging industry are invited as our consultants to guarantee the accuracy and fairness of this event..

4. How to Register

Please download Permeability Proficiency Service Application Form Spring 2014 (Please find it in Document). Please complete the application form and send it to lab@labthink.cn before the deadline for registration, May 1, 2014.

5. Service Charge

In order to provide all the participated laboratories with better service and promote the uniformity of permeability test results of film, the permeability proficiency service in spring of 2014 is totally free of charge. All the cost of test samples, homogeneity and stability examinations and the freight charges will be afforded by Labthink Instruments Co., Ltd.
